Today is your last chance if you want to join us on the ride to Paris next summer
If you’d like to be part of the charity cycling team Team Rynkeby in the upcoming season, please submit your application before the end of the day.
Team Rynkeby’s website has been a hive of activity over the past few days.
In the last day alone, a couple of hundred potential Team Rynkeby riders have visited the website and completed an application, hoping to be among the 2,100 cyclists who will be cycling to Paris next summer to raise money for children with critical illness.
Team Rynkeby Foundation CEO Carl Erik Dalbøge is delighted by this high level of activity.
“It’s wonderful to see that so many people continue to want to be involved in this project. It means so much, not only to those of us working on the project, but especially to the families we cycle for. It’s incredible that we’re able to keep up the momentum eighteen years on,” says Dalbøge.
A good chance of joining us
Team Rynkeby is currently seeing an increase in applications of around 10 percent compared to last year, but there are still teams in less populated areas that could do with a few more applicants.
“We are not the only cycling project in Europe. And it is also clear that more offers have been made to the target group. This means that, in some areas, the chances of slipping through the needle’s eye and becoming a part of Team Rynkeby have never been better,” explains Dalbøge.
Applicants want the experience
A few days ago, the charity cycling team announced the expansion of the project from 48 to 54 teams, making room for 200 extra cyclists.
The expansion is first and foremost an attempt to meet the growing interest in being part of Europe’s largest charity cycling team.
“It would be fantastic if we could accept all the applicants and give them a place on the team. But unfortunately this is not possible. We are trying to grow the project at a pace that enables us to continue to ensure that all participants enjoy the experience of a lifetime – and the experience is probably the main reason we can continue to generate enthusiasm for the project,” says Dalbøge.
If you would like to be part of Team Rynkeby in 2019, please submit an application on the Team Rynkeby website by Friday 17 August 2018 at the latest.
